You must complete the application and provide documentation showing you have completed the pre-requisites.

Failure to provide the documentation by September 1st will result in cancellation of your registration. If your registration is canceled, for any reason, your registration fees will be refunded, minus any applicable processing fees.

Training Description: 

This training is designed for mental health professionals who previously completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF- CBT) and will aim to increase participants’ understanding of PSB in children.  Assessment and treatment decision making with a particular focus on prioritization of treatment needs among children presenting with co-occurring symptoms will also be discussed. Finally, participants will be provided with information on implementing TF-CBT for preschool and school age children with PSB designed to reduce or eliminate traumatic stress symptoms and PSB. Case vignettes will be used to increase participant’s knowledge and understanding of applying this information to their clinical practice.

Eligibility requirements:

Clinicians applying to participate in advanced training on implementation of TF-CBT for children with PSB must meet the following training requirements:

  • Completed the online introductory training in TF-CBT: https://tfcbt2.musc.edu/
  • Attended a live 2-day clinical training provided by a TF-CBT National Trainer.
  • Successfully completed the monthly follow-up clinical consultation calls for 6 months, facilitated by a TF-CBT National Trainer.
  • Complete this application form (This form can also be emailed to you after you register, upon request.)
  • Agree to complete all required readings and pre-work assignments prior to the live training
    • Complete the National Center on Sexual Behavior of Youth (NCSBY) Youth with Problematic Sexual Behaviors Video Training Series : https://www.mrcac.org/elearning/ypsb/
    • Read "Implementing Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

      With Preteen Children Displaying Problematic Sexual Behavior".  This will be sent to you after you have completed registration.

You will receive the required reading material once you have submitted certification of completion for the online TF-CBT training, and the MRCAC video services.  Documentation can be emailed to info@cacidaho.org and must be received by September 1, 2018.
