 nt Adrienne Isom is a member of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit where s
 he has been assigned for more than 10 years. In this capacity\, SSA Isom p
 rovides operational support to local\, state\, Federal and international l
 aw enforcement agencies investigating crimes committed against child victi
 ms and conducts research regarding offenders who sexually exploit children
  and those responsible for the abduction/murder of a child. Prior to joini
 ng the BAU\, SSA Isom was assigned to the FBI Los Angeles Division’s Sexua
 l Assault Felony Enforcement Team for over nine years where she investigat
 ed crimes against children\, including the online exploitation of children
 \, juvenile sex trafficking\, and child sex tourism. SSA Isom holds a bach
 elor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University\, a master’s deg
 ree in Criminology from Indiana State University\, and a master’s degree i
 n Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. 
 Prior to her employment with the FBI\, SSA Isom was a probation officer in
  Indiana for seven years and served as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem on ch
 ild neglect\, child abuse\, and custody cases.\n\nSession Description:\n\n
 During this course\, participants will learn the characteristics of prefer
 ential child sex offenders and why/ how they commit their crimes. Through 
 case examples\, offender video clips\, and research results\, participants
  will better understand this unique population of offenders\, their groomi
 ng behaviors\, victim selection techniques and cognitive distortions they 
 use to overcome internal conflict.\n\nThis training may not be recorded\n
 \nLaw Enforcement may receive POST credit through your organization
