Idaho Network of Children's Advocacy Center's one-hour lunch and learn training sessions are free and offered to anyone in the state of Idaho who works in child serving professions.

Speaker - Tammara Tarvin, Idaho Sheriffs' Association Programs Manager

Speaker's Bio:

Tammara L. Tarvin is a graduate of Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology/Sociology, Social Welfare Emphasis. She began her victim services career in 1997 employed by Hamilton, Michaelson and Hilty LLP as a Victim Witness Coordinator for Nampa, Caldwell, Middleton, and Parma Cities Prosecution contracts. Tammara completed the National Victim Assistance Academy in 2000. She began her current service as the Programs Manager for the Idaho Sheriffs’ Association (ISA) in 2010, overseeing the day to day operations of statewide services; Victim Information and Notification Every day (VINE), Offender Watch, Honorary Membership Program, and Detention Officer Training. Coordinating with other agencies and coworkers, Tammara assisted in establishing Prison Rape Elimination (PREA) Standards and Jail Suicide Prevention efforts in Idaho’s county jails. She is a member of Idaho Sexual Assault Kit and Idaho Coordinated Response teams as well as the Idaho Victim Witness Association where she sits on the Training Committee. Tammara obtained Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Instructor Certification in 2019. She speaks locally and nationally on VINE and PREA. Tammara is blessed with daughters Alexcia and Savannah, son-in-law Donnie, two-year old grandson Tristian and pound puppy Roscoe

Session Description:

VINE and Offender Watch: Victim Information Notification Every day VINE is a statewide automated service tied into all 36 Idaho County Jails, Idaho Department of Correction and Idaho Supreme Court data system known as ICourts. VINE provides real time custody release and daily court notifications. Offender Watch provides access to over 60% of the nations registered sex offenders. This session will provide practical uses for assisting victims and monitoring cases.
